School of Foreign Languages and Sichuan People’s Publishing House Signed Cooperation Agreement

School of Foreign Languages in CUIT signed an agreement with Sichuan People’s Publishing House to build a college-enterprise cooperation base on March, 22nd . The event was held at No. 7 conference room on Airport Campus of CUIT, followed by a franchising ceremony. Hosted by Vice President Xiao Yueqiang of CUIT, the ceremony was co-participated by President Huang Lixin and Chief Editor Liu Zhouyuan from Sichuan People’s Publishing House, as well as Dean Huang Chi, General Secretory Yang Hao, Vice Dean Zhou Jie and Lu Jie from School of Foreign Languages.

President Xiao gave warm welcome to President Huang and his entourage, and wished that the School of Foreign Languages could cherish the partnership with Sichuan People's Publishing House, to establish an effective communication mode and a long-term and stable college-enterprise bond of scientific research application and talents training. Xiao said, it would be a win-win road for both sides, if School of Foreign Languages gives her disciplinary advantage into full play by continuously improving service quality and steadily exploring cooperation channels between the university and the press.

President Huang briefly introduced the status quo of Sichuan People's Publishing House, referring the common ground and cooperative potential between the press and the university, and indicated the need for translation talents amid Chinese culture exporting. He said that the press is determined to strengthen communication and cooperation with the school to yield rich fruits.

Franchising ceremony


All participants had an in-depth exchange on following major plans, such as how to catalyze teachers’ scientific research into actual achievements and how to customize precise training for application-oriented English+ talents to fit  the development trend of economy and modern society.
