Research Team of Modern Education Technology for Foreign Languages

I. Introduction of the team

The fusion of Internet and education has become a mainstream in the context and the pace of teaching reform in colleges and universities is accelerating. New information-based teaching models and methods such as flipped classroom, mixed teaching, MOOC, micro-course online videos, etc. are coming into stage. The construction process of information-based teaching design and online course directly affects the practice of new teaching models and the corresponding teaching results. In order to improve the ability of information-based design for foreign language teaching and the construction of online open course, and in turn, to improve the quality of class and students’ interest and enthusiasm in learning, further developing information-based reform for foreign language teaching in breadth and depth, the School of Foreign Languages set a scientific research team of modern education technology for foreign languages in 2016 (School of Foreign Languages [2016] No. 10 document).The team consists of 11 members, all of whom have a master’s degree or above. Their academic backgrounds are famous universities at home and abroad. The team members include three associate professors. The team has rich experience in college English teaching, attaches importance to students’ information-based learning experiences both in and out of class, designs the implementational methods to fusion the curriculum content and the Internet comprehensively, builds excellent online open courses, and carries out mixed teaching methods such as flipped classes based on both online and off-line courses.

She has published more than 20 papers and 5 academic monographs and textbooks. She also presides over 19 provincial and ministerial projects.


III. Team Achievement

In the past three years, team members have undertaken 5 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects; published 1 translation and 2 monographs; published 12 papers in SSCI/SCI; won the first prize in the 2021 National Collection and Exchange of Foreign Language Micro classes; won the second prize of the 2019 National College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition in Sichuan division, won the second prize in 6th Foreign Language Micro Class Competition in Sichuan division in 2020; won the 7th young teacher teaching award of Chengdu University of Information Technology; won the third prize of the 2021 higher education achievement award of Chengdu University of Information Technology; and won the third prize in the 8th, 9th and 10th multimedia courseware competition of Chengdu University of Information Technology and other awards.
