According to the recently officially issued Guiding Opinions of CUIT on the Development of the 2022 Edition Undergraduate Talents Cultivation Plan, School of Foreign Languages held the seminar on Formulation of Talent Cultivation Plan for English Majors (2022) and theTeachers’ Forum of Major Evaluation in the 516 Conference Room of the Information Building on the afternoon of December 10. The forum was presided over by Chen Mingyuan, the director of the Teaching and Research Office of English Major, and attended by the relevant leaders of the school and the teachers in charge of English major courses in the school.

Dean Huang Chi interpreted the relevant documents on talent cultivation of the university, analyzed the current situation of English major in the school in recent two years, and pointed out that the new talent cultivation plan should be revised around how to improve the core competitiveness of English major talents. Under the presiding of Chen Mingyuan, the teachers participated in the forum actively, discussed the teaching effect of the 2018 talent cultivation plan, and made preliminary design of the 2022 talent cultivation plan.
