On October 23^rd, on the 70^th anniversary of the Chengdu University of Information Technology, alumni of the School of Foreign Languages made their way back to their Alma Mater to celebrate its

70^th birthday. Yang Hao, Secretary of the Party Committee of the school, Huang Chi, Dean of the school, Cao Qianyu, Vice Dean, and teacher representatives gathered with more than 40 alumni on campus. The gathering was chaired by Yang Hao, who warmly welcomed the alumni and showed gratitude for their support of the development of the school, looking forward to their constant visits in the future.

   Huang Chi gave a brief introduction of the recent achievement of the schools to the alumni, including the development of talents, disciplines, scientific research, etc. and listened to their voices for future development.

   The alumni shared their experiences and gains in work and life with enthusiasm. They expressed their gratitude to the school and their Alma Mater for what they have provided and expressed their sincere wishes for future development.

Miao Yuanyi, former Dean of the college, has been invited to this meeting. She expressed her great delight in seeing the progress made by the graduates who stepped out from the campus and became the backbone of all walks of life in society. She urged the alumni to remember the university motto and to make persistent efforts for further achievement by standing together with the school and the university.

   The Constitution of the Alumni Association and the name list of the President and Secretary General of the First Alumni Association of the School of Foreign Languages were approved and proclaimed. Yang Hao said that for the common purpose of better development, he looked forward to further communication and exchanges with all alumni in the future.
