On November 30, 2025,  a Public Welfare English Enlightenment Class was joyfully launched on the second floor of the Party-Mass Service Center in the Jichang Road Community. Organized by the Jichang Road Community Residents Committee and hosted by the Foreign Language Club of Chengdu University of Information Technology (CUIT), the event provided children with a fun-filled introductory English learning experience.

The volunteers thoughtfully designed four distinctive sessions. During the "ABCD Letter World," volunteers used visual teaching methods to introduce the 26 letters, encouraging children to analyze letter shapes to reinforce their memory. In the "Letter Rhythm Clap " session, volunteers led the children in singing and dancing to "The ABC Song", creating an enthusiastic atmosphere.

In the "Animal Friends Meetup" session, volunteers used PowerPoint slides to display animals, cleverly pairing onomatopoeic sounds with English words. The engaging teaching method of linking "cat-meow" and "dog-woof" helped children quickly grasp the vocabulary, and the follow-up "Guess Who I Am" matching game further enriched their learning. In the final "My Animal Craft" activity, children freely created using materials such as cardstock, scissors, and clay. Volunteers guided them with English phrases like "Glue the ear, please" and encouraged the kids to introduce their artwork in simple English.

The event also featured two special showcases: the "Brave Heart Stage" and the "Little Artists' Salon."  Volunteers accompanied shy children to the stage, offering encouragement and rewards to every participant. Applause from the audience greatly boosted the children's confidence. To conclude, a group photo was taken with everyone holding their creations, capturing the wonderful moment.

This public welfare class not only allowed children to experience the joy of learning English but also built a bridge for collaboration between the community and the university. In the future, Jichang Road Community and the CUIT Foreign Language Club will continue to collaborate in launching more high-quality public welfare activities, fostering a joyful environment for children's growth.
