Tan Jie

Tan Jie, male, Professor, member of Teaching steering Committee of CUIT, member of Academic Committee of the School of Foreign Languages, has more than 20 years of teaching experience in colleges and universities. He is nominated the seventh batch of academic and technical leaders in Panzhihua city (2016) and also a review expert of Competition of Ideological and Political Education in Foreign Language Course among Sichuan Provincial Colleges.

With years of experience in foreign trade, Professor Tan is a “double-qualified teacher” teacher, with the qualification of "international economic and trade practitioner" and "international business engineer". He has presided five provincial research programs and participated over ten municipal research programs. Among his publications, there is one monograph, two translated books and six textbooks. He also published more than 20 academic papers with nine on national core journals. He studied in New South Wales International College, Australia in 2008 as a visiting scholar.

Awards and honors: "Excellent Teacher" (2013), "Excellent Education Management Worker" (2015), one Second Prize (2016) and two Third Prize (2012) of "Education and Teaching Achievement Award” by Panzhihua University.

Representative works: the translation of Harvard Classics (Volume 33: Voyages and Travels: Ancient and Modern) and Harvard Classics (Volumes 50: Lectures on the Harvard Classics), winning the first prize of "The Fourth Tianfu Translation Award" in 2015. Deputy editor-in-chief of two textbooks by Higher Education Press, New College English Reading Book 1 and New College English Progressive Reading 2 (second edition), which is the national planning textbook of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan for general higher education.
